Federal Energy Regulatory Commission adopts RapidCount Emergency Mustering Kit for Emergency Management
WASHINGTON, D.C. - January 8, 2007 - Enterprise Air has announced the recent deployment of its RapidCount mobile mustering solution at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) facilities in Washington, D.C. The RapidCount System for Emergency Management is an automated application for tracking evacuees and missing persons during an emergency evacuation, using portable handheld card readers designed to be compatible with a wide range of employee and government ID card systems.
FERC has chosen to incorporate the RapidCount System as a core component of emergency planning at its Washington, D.C. facilities, and now uses the RapidCount system in regular evacuation drills. RapidCount has been used successfully in drills at several government agencies, in a variety of physical environments, with and without a wireless network.
"Mustering is a critical part of any organization's emergency preparedness and planning," said Michael Hejtmanek, CEO of Enterprise Air. "In an emergency situation, there is no time for errors or delays - emergency coordinators need accurate data, quickly, and deserve good tools to get it. Our RapidCount solution is turnkey, and extremely cost effective because it integrates with an organization's existing ID card system."
