Enterprise Air launches HSPD-12 Solution Suite, making HSPD-12 ID cards immediately compatible with existing access control systems

NEW YORK, NY - March 6, 2007 - Enterprise Air today announced immediate availability of its HSPD-12 card rollout solution suite, a set of applications designed to make HSPD-12 ID cards compatible with the Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) already installed at secure government facilities.

The HSPD-12 ID card standard, a new mandatory federal program that defines a common identification card system for all federal agencies, can now be easily integrated with on-site PACS security systems and put into use at existing gates and doors. The solution suite will initially consist of three components:

  • A PACS Data Connector that allows on-site security systems to automatically download HSPD-12 cardholder records from the central offices that issue cards
  • A Provisioning Kiosk that enables visitors and traveling cardholders to quickly register their HSPD-12 cards at a local facility.
  • A Hybrid Handheld card reader that enables security officers to quickly scan, validate and inspect the data from HSPD-12 cards. This enables security guards to electronically read data that is no longer printed on the face of the card.
  • Enterprise Air's HSPD-12 applications are compatible with all popular Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), including Lenel OnGuard, SoftwareHouse C*CURE, MDI, and others. Enterprise Air provides network fault-tolerance and a scalable architecture able to support a wide variety of equipment and network configurations.

"We are really betting our company on HSPD-12," said Michael Hejtmanek, CEO of Enterprise Air. "The HSPD-12 standard isn't just a more secure card; it's also an opportunity to strengthen the value of existing access control systems everywhere. All it takes is a strong software link between the central and local systems. We're thrilled to be providing this new solution set, building on our years of expertise and our deep relationships with PACS vendors."
