NATO Response Force Deploys Portable Credentialing System

NEW YORK, NY & CABO VERDE, AFRICA - June 11, 2006 - N.A.T.O. completed its deployment of the Portable Credentialing System® under a contract for a base security operation in Africa.

The security requirements involved the oversight and verification of a diverse range of military identification cards from different countries for determining an individual's base access and area permissions.

With the deployment of the Portable Credentialing System®, the base security was improved by streamlining the varied military identification protocols under the existing system, and enabling unified security architecture with on site photo I.D. creation, permissions management capabilities, and biometric fingerprint verification for high security zones.

Security personnel use the Authenticator® handheld ID verification devices to grant individuals access to the base, as well as verify an individual's zone permissions to either grant or restrict access to specific areas on the base.
